Life I was raised on Pera St and went to Zavala Elementary until I went to Jefferson Jr. Hi. I remember John F. Kennedy in the 7th grade with Mr. Mireles. I had in Miss Folks in 5th, Mrs. Bowden in 6th and Mrs. Harrison in 7th. I used to hang with Margie Morales, Silvia Castaneda, Manny De La Cerda, Chebo Hernandez, Hilda Aceves and whoever was aroung the neighborhood. I had great times during those years. When I got to Jeff, I was in the band, Margie was a cheerleader and we would have parties and go to the football games and such. Then I moved to Valley Baptist Academy in Harlingen and lost contact with all the neighborhood kids. I know the Escarcegas still lived there, the Yturraldes, De La Cerda, Whites and more. I would like to get in touch with anyone. there are some people like Edna McCord, Manny & Grace Velasquez and more that grow up in the old neighborhood with me. I married at 19 and it didn't work out, then I married a GI and we went to Germany in the early 80's and loved it. I divorced again after 15 years and went to school for accounting, I also make Dreamcatchers and Mandellas and such.
