Edward's Story

Life I would have graduated in 1975 but our family moved to NH in 1973. We ended up in the town of Sunapee, NH where the things were just a bit different than at TZ. Combined in 1 building were grades 1-12! There were less than 20 kids in my entire class. Finished a degree in computer Science in '83; Worked in corporate America for GE among others for a bit. In '87, I started growing a rat-tail that is now ½ way down my back and switched to the role of a consultant. I had fun doing mergers and acquisitions for Eastern Air (remember them?) and Northwest Air. I got very involved in computer voice recognition and systems integration. Developed voice recognition systems, mostly for people with disabilities and hospitals as well as doing some government contracts. I have been into woodworking, designing and building clock movements with all wooden works and Shaker furniture. In '92, I became physically retired. I still annoy my guitar from time to time. As a very part time volunteer at a local animal shelter, I work mostly with cats and kittens. Finding a niche there, my current thang' is working with feral (wild) cats, many that I trap in the woods. It has really become a joy to volunteer at the shelter. Attending to medical care of the animals, is both challenging and rewarding as hell. Wait¿ is hell rewarding? Hummm. 2007 - Lost my Mom to cancer in August. I miss her greatly. 2008 - NEW GIG(s) As if anyone reads this dribble! I have accumulat...Expand for more
ed lots of musical "Stuff" and plan on selling it via the internet. I have a domain name of WebStarsUSA.com. I will be listing "stuff" there as well as CraigsList.org NH and of course eBay.com. I have fallen in love with Guild guitars! NH is on course to have the most snow in a winter EVER, or at least since they have been keeping records. Another 10 inches (I think) and that will do it. It is remarkable that the schools have only been closed here for 3 days. Snow is piled up where it has been plowed, to a depth of 20 feet on the edge of parking lots. My front yard has a good 6 feet of snow and some neighbors that use snow blowers have 10-12 feet deep piles. I have been using a plow that I have on my truck. Unfortunately, I will most likely be reverting to using the snow blower soon as the snow banks have turned ad hard as cement, and can¿t be plowed up any higher. My body prefers a plow truck over a snow blower. Spring is on its way. Summer 2008 - Wow! I never thought I would keep a journal. I suppose that blog is the new term for a public journal... OK... So I am blogging. The winter was the snowiest, or 2nd snowiest as the record keeping back then was a bit, um, vague. Anyway, 1st or 2nd, It was snowy as can be. June finds there is still enough snow on Mt Washington to ski Tuckerman¿s Ravine, but that's not really that uncommon. My rat tail has found its way to ¿Locks of Love¿. A group that makes wigs for those undergoing chemotherapy.
