Edward's Story
I tried the college thing when I was young and distracted and that didn't work out too well for me seeing as I applied to Salisbury following my "heart" after a girl who had it. I had fun, never saw her again, and wasted a lot of money so I stayed in Ocean City shortly after to make my money back. I failed at that endeavor and finally went home to Western Maryland, "fell in love", and enlisted in the Army. I've been in almost 11 years now and have seen Korea, the birth of my son, a divorce, Iraq, and now Afghanistan. Logistics Company in Korea, as Biosafety Officer to a research facility in Maryland, worked with a group on a Malaria vaccine, have been a line medic and am now in charge of a forward aid station. Recently accepted to the Physician Assistant training program and am remarrying next summer. Only one child, two dogs, and a wonderful fiance. That's pretty much my story. I am certified as a laboratory technician and an EMT, hold an A.S. from The George Washington University, am three classes from my B.S. in Public Health and, after PA school, will have another B.S. and a M.S. Pretty much just going to finish out my military career and then look for other work.
