Edwin's Story
Workplace
After high school joined the military did my time and got out. Went through many jobs and could not find anything that would keep my mind busy. Finally found a job that I liked as a Deputy sheriff in a small town in Wyoming. Plan on staying a police officer when I get back from Iraq. Well after getting back from Iraq the second time and living in a desert I wanted a change, Alaska. I still work in law enforcement but have the big outdoor play ground. It stays light out all the time during the summer, I actually took my sunglasses off once at 12pm. Cool. The winter are long and dark you may get 2-3 hours of the sun if your lucky. Lots of snow which means Snow machining, skiing. The best fishing and hunting in the United States. I will warn you, once you visited you always find a way to live here. I did. I miss my high school friends after leaving for the military. After spending 2 years over there if it's one thing I have found out, life IS to short. Please drop me a line and say high, or come up and visit I got plenty of room. Take care my friends.

While there went to lots of military schools. After 3 years got out and went to the 2/102nd Infantry...Expand for more
unit in Connecticut for three years transfered to the 11th Group Special Forces and stayed there a year and was hurt in training. Moved to Wyoming and stayed out of duty till 9/11 happened. Felt that my skills and experience could be used and re-enlisted for the Wyoming National Guard. Went to Iraq for Operation Iraqi Freedom II as an MP (Military Police). I had the honor of guarding the Prime Minister for the Iraq Interim Government. From March 2004-April of 2005. plan to re-enlist for 6 more years and see if I come back for OIF 3 or 4.
Well as it turned out, I will be going back for Operation Iraqi Freedom IV as an MP again in the winter of 2005. Can't say where I'm going or what I'm doing but
try to update everyone as time allows. Take care.
April 2007 update.
Well everyone I'm back in the USA with all my fingers and toes. There was a few times I had to check. I was as MP serving in Tikrit 8 months & 4months in Kirkuk, Iraq. I was working as a Police Trasition Team(PTT). I was in charge of training the Iraq Police(IP) how to become better at their jobs.. It was the most challenging thing I have done. Please don't listen to the T.V or Papers that the troops should not be there or were not making a differnce. Talk to a solider that was there and ask them the questions that you have and get a first hand report not a biased editioral comment.
Thank you for all your prayers and support.
