Edwin's Story
Life
I had a Bio on here about 5 or so years ago but I guess they got rid of it (I doubt anyone ever looked at it anyway). Most people that weren't in my shop are probably wondering who the heck I am since I wasn't very popular in school! (I was in a click of 1!). If you are wondering I was in Electronics, which I went nowhere with! After graduation I went to Quincy college for about 3 1/2 years, which isn't good since it's a 2 year college. I droped out and did nothing good for a couple of years then when I was 22 I decided to join the Coast Guard. I spent 4 year at the small bost station in Boston Harbour doing search and rescue. I loved the Coast Gurad and probably would have stayed in if I could have done S&R for 20 years but if I had re-uped I would have been shipped to a Cutter and I didn't really want to do any sea time. I got out in 96' and did a bunch of nothing jobs for a couple of years, mostly security but I also did a little landscaping (which I hated) and I even sold vacum cleaners for 2 weeks (Hated that even more). I met my wife in 98' when I was doing security for Arbella in Quincy. After we moved in togeter and bought a house I got a job replacing home heating oil tanks, a messy job but it paid pretty well. In 2000 I took the Firefighters civil service exam for the third time and finally scored a perfect 100%. I got hired by the City of Brockton in April 01' (just 6 month before 9/11!). My wife and I had our first child in Oct. 01', our daughter Brianna. We had our second...Expand for more
in Oct. 03', our son Colby. We may have another, we haven't decided for sure (although right now they're fighting in the background as I type this so check back in a few days and the answer may change!). We plan to move out of brockton in a couple of years, the union just signed a new contract and I can move out of the city after 7 yeras on the job. UPDATE: I figured I'd leave all the junk up above for people to read and just add some stuff (Since I was recently told people actually do read my profile!) Well, it's Dec. 07' now, we had our third child in Oct. of this year, a daughter we named Samantha. She's the cutest little white girl in the world!!! Other than that nothing much else has changed, I'm still on the fire dept. and we are still hoping to move out of Brockton soon, but with the way houses are selling these days that may just be a pipe dream right now. Guess no one wanted to have a reunion this year, I've been waiting to hear from someone about it and our 20th year came and went with nothing. I'm thinking of trying to get as many people as would be interested together for a casual type reunion, just something at a local restaraunt/bar.
