Edwin (Ed)'s Story
Edwin "Ed", from Colorado Springs and currently lives in Nahant, Massachusetts. Married for 51 years to the former Anna Marie Blais, we have a son, (Richard Edmund) of Millis, MA and daughter (Christianne Noel) of Los Angeles, CA. Rich is married to Sondra (Discher) Manzano. We have three grand daughters Pepper Paige, Ginger Elyse and Jasmin Saffire Manzano in Millis, MA.
I attended five different elementary schools on two continents, four junior high schools, Waynesville Jr. High, Harrison Jr. High and Verdun Jr. High. Attended Verdun American High School, Prince George High School and Harrison High School. After high scool, attended University of Colorado at Boulder campus and University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (BA Zoology). Post graduate studies at Boston University, Heidelberg Campus, (M.Ed.Counseling); last degree: Boston University School of Education main campus, Doctorate, (EdD. Counseling Psychology).
Worked at North Essex Mental Health Center, Haverhill, MA. Lynn Union Hospital, Psychiatry In-patient unit, Lynn, MA. South Cove Community Health Center (MICAS), Chelsea, MA. Psychological Center, Lawrence, MA, TriCity Mental Health Center, Lynn, MA.
Worked for the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a supervisor at Department of Social Services (Lynn) and later as a case manager and a case management supervisor at Department of Mental Health (Lynn). I retired from state service in 2015.

visiting daughter Christl (Christianne), Pratt Institute. Son Rick, Norwich University, and Sondra, and my beautiful granddaughters Pepper, Ginger and Jasmin. Community activities include the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary, American Legion, Nahant Memorial Day Committee and Saint Vincent de Paul.
Music tastes include playing 12 string guitar, Bob Dylan, the stylings of Bruce Ford-Fyffe, Leah Allyce Canali, and Don Wilkinson.
Favorite authors include anything written by J.R.R. Tolkien, Neville Shute, Piers Anthony, James A. Michener, Issac Asimov, Frank Herbert, Michael Crichton, Robert A. Heinlein, Harold Coyle, Tom Clancy, WEB Griffin, Douglas Adams, Ursula Leguin, Lev Grossman, Toby Quirk and Dennis Treece.
Favorite movies include Black Orpheus, M.A.S.H., A Man and a Woman, Umbrellas of Cherbourg, Walkabout, Picasso Summer, Grand Prix, LeMans, Patton, 84 Charlie Mopic, Loving Vincent, and Peter Jackson's Tolkien Trilogy; or, any movie that my daughter Christianne (Christl) helped in production; so far: Mulberry Street, King Richard, Ambulance, Roar, Superpumped, 80 for Brady; she just wrapped a season of Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Anna and I pulled the trigger on a 1999 Eurovan camper we saw at a dealership called “PopTopHeaven” in Yucaipa CA when we visited Christianne in LA. Between “Humble” and “920” (the name I gave to the camper), we’ll probably be on the boat or in the camper and we’ll be seeing a lot more changing scenery.
