Ehren's Story

Life So, i don't really know why i am posting anything, but whatever. Graduated 1996 - you probably don't know me, and that's ok. After highschool i assumed the role of resident loser in fort collins for almost two years before i got sick of it. I moved to Punaluu, Hawaii for a little while. Some call it 'finding yoursel' but i call it 'getting away from fort collins.' while i lived there i decided what to go to school for and realized that out of state tuition was not really for me so i moved back Colorado so i could go to CSU. I got a degree in mechanical engineering and worked some while i went to school. There is not much exciting to say about that. About the time i graduated i realized that my degree was about 60% of what i needed to get where i wanted to go so i found a master's program that suited my career goals and that landed me at Georgia Tech in Atlanta. I just finished up school there in May (2006) and am getting ready to move to start work in august. At tech i got a master's in aerospace engineering with a focus on system's engineering. Atlanta is an awesome city and i would highly recommend it to anyone who prefers city life over cow town living. Finding a job was an intereting ordeal to say the least, but i managed to ...Expand for more
do well with that. I will be working for Johns Hopkins University in their Applied Physics Lab outside of Washington DC. The job is engineering related naturally, and relates to military systems. The work is classified and likely of little interest to anyone reading this so that's all i will say about that. Outside of work i like sugar and spice and all things nice. Traveling, reading, being sarcastic, socializing, political debates, eating good food, and spontaneous trips to new places are other things that are ok with me. For the record i think that classmates.com is really annoying. It's like they are trying to become some facsimile of myspace. School this is funny... 1) highschool crush: any female who wasn't overweight, wore perfume, dressed well, and didn't talk like a man. It was highschool i can't say that any standards had developed at that time. 2) inspiring teacher: i remember two - 1) Dusty the tweaking art teacher and 2) Mr. Dill because he was a smartass 3) if i could do it all over again: i would have gone to a private school where teachers were paid to teach and instill a sense ability in students. As much fun as it was being an FCHS future failure in the eyes of the staff in high school, it didn't really help me.
