Eileen's Story
I went to Riley Elementary School and was in the Brownies and girl scouts. During that time my father coached Little League Baseball and was invloved in the Boy Scouts. My family moved to Cerritos in 1972 and I went to Haskell Junior High for 7th and 8th grade. The summer of 1974 I ran away from home and ended up a ward of the court and was placed in a series of institutions and one foster home. Apparently my running away triggered an abuse investigation and found that my home was unsafe for me. I was permanently removed from my father's custody. That is what happened even though I have heard many different versions of the story. First I was sent to a Florence Crittendon in East LA. Rumours of me being pregnant sprung up but to tell the truth I was still a virgin. From there I was sent to a foster home in Green Valley and about 6 months later my foster mother was brought up on child abuse and kidnapping charges. I guess she misunderstood about taking teenage foster children over state lines without consent and bashing in their face with a phone book was not okay. From there I was placed in the Convent of the Good Shepherd and a year later I jumped out the second floor window and wound up in Penny Lane. From Penny Lane I went out on my own at age 17.
I had two older brothers, Lee whose whereabout are unknown and he is believed to be dead, he chose a difficult path. Michael who was voted best looking in Junior High died in 2005 of a heroin overdose in Long Beach after serving tim...Expand for more
e for one of many Parole Violations. I guess the just say no program came a few years too late. My father (retired) still coaches Little League even though even his grandchildren and are too old to play. My son Jeff is 30 and is living with my father and my father's current wife (#4) . My youngest Brother also named Jeff lives in my parents backyard. My step sister Tina found Jesus and not in a good way is living in Texas, married, a boy and a girl. Eddie my step brother, also found Jesus but is more tolerable, is living in Fresno, married two girls, works for the Post Office. Eddie and Tina's mother Penny the original step monster hobbles around with a cane and also lives in Fresno.
I now live in San Francisco and work for a very large Property Mangement Company as an OFS & Event Manager. I love my job and do fairly well financially. My personal life is relatively quiet and drama free. Leaving Southern California was the best thing I ever did for myself and everytime I visit I remember why I moved. I am currently working on a manuscript based on my personal experiences and welcome any feedback or input from old friends. Please do not hesitate to get in touch with me, especially if you are in the bay area. I can be emailed on Facebook, Eileen Kay Myers. Please do not email me on Classmates I have spent too much on their membership already.
Please keep in mind any rude or inappropriate emails will be reported and deleted. I am only interested in hearing from people that I know.
