Elaine's Story
After graduating from NCHS in 1981, I went to Salem College in Winston-Salem, NC. I graduated with a BA in Elementary Education and Music Performance on Flute. I Married my husband Tom in 1986 and we live in Asheville, NC. Our daughter, Rebekah, recently married and now lives in Seoul, South Korea with her Korean husband. Hopefully they will come back to the US in 2021 after he finishes his PHD and required Korean military service.

30 years, teaching every grade in K-8, except 4th and 5th, during that time. I have been retired 5 years and am enjoying life! I play my flute in several groups around Asheville as well as teach flute lessons. I have a small business, Salem Girl Productions, where I digitize old slides, pictures and movies. Tom still practices law, but we have been able to take some amazing trips over the years. I hope I am able to make it back to Normal for our 40th!
