Life
I found this site by pure chance! Having never made any of our past reunions, I am soooo excited about connecting with my old crew --I can not believe JANIS PETERSON and I have "almost" finally connected (email tag).
I am living back in New Hampshire in the small town of Barrington. My only son, Shannon, is now 26, married and has 3 children - Mike,7; Justin, 3 and Samantha, 2! My grandchildren call me "SHAMA" and I absolutely love hanging out with them on my small NH farm. I live with my 2 dogs, Tug & Kiah, along with my psycho cat, Merlin. After completing my BS,I worked in the field of Human Services until 1981 when I made a transition into the insurance industry. Today I am a big fish in a very small pond - I own an insurance brokerage agency engaged in the design and implementation of employee benefit programs for employer groups in NH, ME and MA. Life is very good! I love my age and enjoy life in rural New Hampshire... I really miss Janis P, Kathy O., Diane S, Miki D and Kathy Calder. I have often thought about the days we hung out in the instrument room during off periods whispering about "the guys"... I am hopeful I will be able to attend our 30th reunion BUT am impatient to connect with you guys BEFORE then. Anyone up for an advance weekend somewhere????
01/14/01 WOW !!! Since last updated, Janis has flown to NH and I returned the visit for the Holidays!!! Additionally, both Janis and I re-connected with Mike Roemhildt AND there may be a Cooper Band Reunion happening not too far in the distant future.... way before our 30th HS Reunion in 2003. Anyone else interested????
College
I didn't go straight to college after HS. My son was four years old when I did. I was working and going to school at the same time. How I survived those years is nothing short of a miracle. Still, though, some of the happiest memories I have occurred in those years. Funny how life twists and turns..............

t Boston College in the Theater Department. We live in Barrington, NH with 2 dogs ( Chipa dn Sarah) and 2 cats ( Merlin and Radar) - all adopted! The grandchildren are growing up quickly. Michael is nearing 16, Justin, 11 and Samantha 10.
Larry and I attended my 30th HS reunion in Minnesota.... verrrrry interesting! I wonder who all those OLD people were.
Still in business, still in NH.
4/7/2012: Life is marching on...... swiftly. My son is now 36 and my grandchildren are now 18, 14 and 13!!
Still in business, still in NH and weary of the contentious political environment surrounding us.. My joy cones to me from my interaction with family and my animals. Reconnections with childhood friends in NH have really enriched my life lately and I continue to maintain some of the relationships I reconnected with through Classmates and Facebook.
Both Rotties have passed on but Merlin, (age 16), is still WITH US. Two other rescue dogs, and a cat have joined our menagerie.
Sarah ( collie/sheltie mix joined us when she was 18 mos old after being found in the woods by animal control. 3 mos before adopting her... the same day Kiah passed away. Sarah, is now 10 1/2 yrs old.
Chippa, a sheltie, came to us from a Main shelter as a special needs guy. Chip was 7 yrs old and in tough shape when he arrived and has had several surgeries since he arrived... the last one didn't take well and he has a permanent disability. He is a loveable little guy and very, very close to me heart.
Weslie ( formerly Annabelle) was an abandoned y9ung male my granddaughter and her friends cared for all last spring. They convinced me to re-home him and we are so glad we did; he's a love and has not lost his ability to trust. Wes has lived with us since August under the watchful eye of Merlin.
Larry loves working with the students at BC so much he will be returning to the summer theater festival in Dorset, VT for anther yr . This means another 11 weeks of adventuring out, scouring the rural countryside of Vt and Eastern NY and many more breakfasts at "Bob's"!!!
