Eleanor's Story
Eleanor is from Quogue, New York. She is married. Her schools include North Babylon High School. She later attended Suffolk County Community College and received her Associates in Applied Science (Nursing) & a General Studies Degree. Then she attended Stony Brook University and received her Bachelors degree in Nursing) & then she received her Masters in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner & Clinical Nurse Specialist). Immediately after that she attended Adelphi University where she received her Doctorate, again in Nursing.
She has worked at many hospitals on Long Island. October 31, 2015, Eleanor retired from the Northport VAMC. She has relocated to a home in Land O Lakes, FL, and after spending over 1 year in FL, she is thinkin...Expand for more
g about becoming a "snowbird." If she decides to do that she will return to LI for the summer months when the heat in FL is unbearable. She returned to NY in 2019 and closed the house in FL. She has been here in NY, in Quogue since then. She should never have retired as she really loved working. She now has a Havanese puppy (16 months old) who is an actual TERROR! He is very, very demanding. The breed originated in CUBA, thus the name: Havanese, they were bred to be circus dogs, very, very intelligent--I think he knows how to rule my mind-- he does a mind-meld and makes me think what he wants me to do.
