Elene's Story
Elene is from Port Huron, Michigan. Elene's schools include Northern High School. Elene later attended SC4 (Law Enforcement) . Elene works(ed) at Port Huron Area School District.
In 1985 I married Jim Rinker (PHHS '69) and we have a son. Eric graduated in 2005 from PHN and, after working at Mammoth Lakes Resort (CA), is living back in Ferndale, Mi. where he is working a Public House.
I enjoy playing in the garden, winter vacations to warm destinations, lunch with friends and being with my family. My music likes includes The Beatles, The Doors, The Rolling Stones, Chicago, Rod Stewart, Darius Rucker, as well as listening to soothing Jazz and pieces by Classical artists.

od book is my all time favorite thing. The best book I have read is Sacajawea by Anna Lee Waldo (getting ready to read it for the fourth time!) while I have never read a book I didn't enjoy, I am partial to books by Larry McMurtry and Historical novels such as the Promises to Keep series by Shayne Parkinson and the Outlander books by Diana Gabaldon. I don't watch a lot of TV, I enjoyed Hell On Wheels, Sleepy Hollow, Downton Abbey and Bones. And now the Outlander series!
I also enjoy watching the Detroit Tigers as well as the Red Wings.
One of Elene's favorite quotes is: "And in the end it isn't the number of years in your life that count, it's the life in your years......Abraham Lincoln".
