I'm in Augusta, Ga., married, with a daughter, son, 2 stepsons, a stepdaughter and 2 stepgrandchildren. (I also have assorted "adopted" relatives) My mother lives in Athens, Ga. with her husband. My father lives in Albany, Ga. with his wife. My sister Miki (Garrison) Thrall is married and lives in Paris, France. She has 2 daughters, one son and one son-in-law. My brother Woody Garrison lives in Athens, Ga. and is married. I had some serious medical problems years ago that resulted in medical retirement from my social work career. Since then I became a "full time" mother (and all that entails) not only to my own children, but also to my assorted "adopted" relatives. I am "Aunt Beth" to quite a few of my "children". In October 2006, when he was 2 weeks old, I began babysitting my wonderful Jonathan; I thank God always that his mother lets me be a part of his life. The main stipulation to babysitting him is that I be able to treat him as if he were a part of my family - my nephew. This means his mother became my niece. This is how I acquire my "adopted" relatives. I have another extremely special family of "adopted" relatives in Orlando, Fl. - My younger sister and brother and my 2 nieces.
