While there I had the privelege of working at the USO office . We traveled in Europe extensivly and saw many countries up until Dessert Storm started ,we were there when the wall came down , it was a very different time in history. In 1991 we moved to Birmingham. I started to Jefferson State Community College and majored in Child Development and in 1993 Jim and I decide to take a job at Boys Town,U.S.A. in Tallahassee,Fl. We had a group home with 6 boys it wa one of the most fulfilling times in my life we left their in 1997 and returned to Birmingham. We became instant grandparents when Jason married a woman with two children a girl age 6 and a boy age4, Autumn and Christian. The same year Ben married and we got another grandson Colin age 5. In 1998 Ben gave us our first grandbaby Dylan so I became Nana. Childcare became my life with Christian,Autumn, Colin and Dylan. All that college paid off!Ha! In 2000 Jim passed away. Last year I decided to go back to work when Dylan went off to school for second grade. I am working with five year olds and love it I occasionaly fill in for the four year olds and realize how old I'm feeling. I am awaiting the birth of my fifth grandchild in July Jonathon's baby and them my sixth in December Ben's baby. I am the children's director at our church so kids are my thing. So that's my bio.
