Elizabeth's Story
Life
Our first new house!! James and I are getting ready for his military retirement and recently went looking for our first new house. We both agreed that while we kept moving, the hassles of changing homes was too stressful. We planned to get our first real home when we planned his retirement. Yeah! We found our house and are waiting to find out if we got it. After HOURS of paperwork and hours of cramming, we finally are ready to start the next phase of life. The children love it and are thrilled to see the home so close to their schools. Our daughter, particularly, will get to walk to school for the very first time. All three will go to civilian schools, instead of on military installations.
Cathlene, our daughter, is now in junior high school. She's developed into a riotously funny person with her mother's wicked sense of...Expand for more
humor. She's musically gifted and terribly smart, saving her academic efforts for later. Our son, Anthony, is now in fourth grade. He's become a strong social leader and shows signs of management potential. His dream is to become a police officer in the military, like his father. Brian, bless his fatheaded self, is fiercely affectionate and also a fierce leader among his peers. Brian is academically advanced, and, also saves his attention for mostly the subjects he likes.
We are so blessed and have found true happiness in life. Coming close to death more than once, James through his service to our country and myself through near-fatal accidents recently, we recognize our blessings. We recognize the value of life and that of each other. I never thought I would ever actually find peace, but, I did. Hopefully, you all have, too.
