Betsy's Story
Three years at Catlettsburg High School and then a transfer to Holy Family a few miles away sum up my high school career. Moving from CHS to HFHS was difficult. I missed my friends and teachers I had grown to love. That last year at HFHS was a busy one with lots of hard work and new friends. After high school I attended ACC for a year and then transfered to UK in Lexington. The courses were difficult and certainly a challenge, but well worth the effort.
I graduated with a degree in Education and then met and married my husband of 38 years, Tommy. We have two sons, Thomas and Christopher. We are also blessed with a ...Expand for more
beautiful and sweet granddaughter, Lillie 8 years old. Tommy and I have lived a variety of places from Lexington to Mays Lick, KY. Tommy retired from 3M in Cynthiana about 8 years ago about the same time I earned my administrative degree and started as an assistant principal in Lawrenceburg, KY at their middle school. We moved to Mays Lick in 2001 after interviewing and accepting a position at the middle school in Maysville. I retired in 2009 after teaching and working as an administrator for 27 years.
Tommy and I are loving retirement and looking forward to traveling more and enjoying our granddaughter Lillie.
