Mariann's Story
2009
I realized when I looked at my story it was 6 years old-time to update.
John & I were married 39 years in December. He is also the "boy" who took me to Senior Prom.
Our oldest daughter is a compliance officer at UT in Austin,TX after 5 years as an attorney in Boston. Our youngest,Meg,lives in Fort Collins near us with her husband, Michael, and our three beautiful,wonderful grandchildren. Katie(6)Beth(2+)and Nick (4mo). She is about ready(?)to go back to work as a manufacturing buyer. Michael is a contoller.
John and I both lost our parents, the last my Mom in 1998. We each have one brother- his in Iowa with his wife and twin boys(11) and my b...Expand for more
rother still in the Chicago area as are his children and grandchildren.
Over the 40+ years since I left Mercy I went to St. Mary's College for two years, taught 1st grade for two years and then had my family, while John was in the Air Force. I continued teaching with CCD at our various parishes,volunteer of course, for another 11-12 years. Then I actually was paid for a few years teaching pre-school at a day-care in upstate NY. Since our move to CO in 1994 I have done some volunteering in a few venues.
My husband travels a lot for business and I sometimes get to go along.
Well, that's my life. I wish all my Mercy friends much happiness.
