Elizabeth's Story
Elizabeth Hitchcock has spent her career pioneering Fortune 10 sales and business development initiatives across the converging worlds of Hollywood, Silicon Valley, and Wall Street.
An executive with significant global experience, Elizabeth is known for exceeding revenue and P&L expectations in the brave new world of media and technology.
In 2007, Elizabeth joined Microsoft¿s Communication Sector, where she leads Application Platform solutions sales efforts, within the Media and Entertainment (M&E) Group. The M&E Group provides customized software solutions and strategies that help companies in the film, music, broadcast, publishing, and advertising industries create new ways to monetize content.
Prior to Microsoft, Elizabeth spent 10 years with the IBM Software Group in international sales and business management roles. Her teams helped Fortune 500 corporations and the world¿s most recognized media, entertainment, and Wall Street brands to develop online content, e-commerce, and business intelligence strategies. Prior to IBM, Elizabeth held mid- to senior-level leadership positions at both start-ups and established firms, partnering with Fortune 10 companies. Her experience taught her how to market and sell emerging forms of entertainment and new media.
Elizabeth is also a leader and business advocate for young women, mentoring and coaching them on how to market and sell themselves. She guest lectures on women¿s leadership at New York University¿s Stern School of Business; and co-founded Mentortainment.com, the web¿s first entertainment/mentoring site for young women in business. She is a member of NY Women in Communications and 85 Broads (Goldman Sachs); as well as a supporter of Women in Need, the Rush Foundation (Russell Simmons), and other philanthropic efforts ¿ particularly those geared towards women and career success.
Elizabeth received her MBA degree from New York University with specializations in Entertainment, Media and Technology, and Leadership/Change Management. She earned a BA cum laude from Vassar College, and participated in overachievement programs at Yale and the University of California (both Berkeley and Los Angeles).
