Elizabeth's Story
Life
Born in Michigan, my family moved to Sudbury, Mass. in 1960 when I was 15 and about to enter my Sophomore year. It was a HUGE adjustment, but it turned out to have been a great experience. The 3 years I spent at LSRHS were great fun.
I got married and had my first daughter, Laura, in 1964. Two years later my husband lost his life in a motor vehicle accident. I went back to school to learn skills to support my daughter and myself, and finished a 2 year program in 6 months. I worked in business administration, mainly in high tech, for Fortune 50 Corporations on both the east and west coasts for 15 years. In 1968 I married again. My daughter, Kristen, was born in 1970. Unfortunately that marriage ended in divorce after 8 years. I delved into raising my daughters, working, and attending college at night.
In 1989, after my youngest finished high school, I pursued a lifelong dream and moved to FL where I went back to school full-time (FL Atlantic Univ. in Boca Raton) to finish my Bachelor's degree in Psychology. Graduated Magna cum Laude from the College of Science in 1994. I went on to graduate school (FL International Univ. in Miami) to earn a Master of Science degree (Clinical social work). Graduated Summa cum Laude in 1996. After a three year supervised internship, in 1999 I sat for the State Boards and became licensed as a psychotherapist. I have my own private practice (East Boca Counseling) in Boca Raton, FL, which keeps me very busy.
Both of my daughters are married with children (5 grandchildren: 2 boys and 3 girls. The youngest, a girl, was born 3/5/07 to my youngest, Kristen). The handsome guy in the photo with me is my number 3 grandchild, Skyler.

itive influence in the lives of others. The rest pays the bills.
Both my home and office are within a five minute drive to the beach, and the weather is almost always sunny and warm. Although I will always love New England, I will only visit in the summer!
In Sept. 2007 my little therapy dog, Snowy, had to be put down at 14 years of age from renal failure. That was a huge loss, both to me and to my clients. I am planning to get a maltese puppy for Easter (2008) who will be my new little therapy dog.
I HOPE YOU DANCE
I hope you never lose your sense of wonder
You get your fill to eat
But always keep that hunger
May you never take one single breath for granted
God forbid love ever leaves you empty handed
I hope you still feel small
When you stand beside the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
I hope you dance
I hope you never fear those mountains in the distance
Never settle for the path of least resistance
Living might mean taking chances
But they're worth taking
Lovin' might be a mistake
But it's worth making
Don't let some hell bent heart
Leave you feeling bitter
when you come close to selling out
Reconsider
Give the heavens above
More than just a passing glance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
I hope you dance
(time is a real and constant motion always)
I hope you dance
(Rolling us along)
I hope you dance
(Tell me who)
I hope you dance
(Wants to look back on their youth and wonder)
(Where those years have gone)
I hope you still feel small
When you stand beside the ocean
Whenever one door closes, I hope one more opens
Promise me you'll give faith a fighting chance
And when you get the choice to sit it out or dance
Dance
I hope you dance
