Elizabeth's Story
Well it has been about 20+ years. Wow time does fly when life happens.
Since High School I attended college for a year-Was going to into Home Economics Education
Volunteered as a Missionary for my church-The Church of Jesus Christ Of Latter-Day Saints for a year and a half.
I then became a substitute teacher at a montessori school in Praire Village, Ks.
I was a nanny for a family of 5 in Overland Park, Ks.
I then moved To the DC area-Northern VA Oct 9, 1996. I was a nanny for triplets, Nov.1996-June 28 2002, and helped out at the preschool they attended on occasion. I also was on my church institute council for 5 years. We planned many activities and service projects for the single adults of our church in the Northern VA area.
I then moved to Boston where I worked ...Expand for more
as a full-time professional childcare provider for 8 different families and Babysat for 15 other families off and on. I have also worked for my church for few months.
In 2009 I decided to return to college to finish my degree, but decided I wanted to go into a different field of study.
I graduated in Dec. 2013 with a dual bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education/Early Childhood Special Education from Brigham Young University-Idaho. I am currently back in Boston still working with children and doing research on Sensory Processing Disorders in young children. I hope to open a therapy play center for children with Sensory Processing Disorders so that they can find ways to live with or overcome their sensory processing disorders in a warm, safe, fun environment.
