Elizabeth's Story
Life
My husband, Patrick, and I are retired and enjoy traveling. With a father in the military, moving every few years, you'd think I would have have had enough of that growing up, but I still like to travel. We live in Gladstone, MO.
Our son Christopher's family consists of wife Melissa, Kayla (13), Collin (11), Julian (7), and Keagan (3 1/2). They live in the Kansas City North area. We spend as much time with the grandchildren as we can.
We have a dog, Lacy, that we rescued from a puppy mill. She was a momma about to be put down. She's a poodle and follows me everywhere I go. We intended her to be Patrick's dog, but she has had other ideas. The neighbors get so tickled watching her following me around.
I teach adult computer classes and love it when I have a newbie who goes from worried frowns to relaxed smiles while I'm teaching them. I was so terribly shy growing up, even in college, but I love teachi...Expand for more

Workplace
I am retired from full time teaching, and I enjoy the time I have with my family, especially my four grandchildren. I still teach computer classes in my community, private homes, and businesses.
I always wanted to be a teacher when I grew up. My family and friends thought that was a good idea, and as it turns out, they were right.
The two people from my past who I'd most like to see again are Margaret Turner and Pamela Hansmeyer. (sp.)
Travel
We love to travel by train or car. Since I do most of the driving now, I like the train because it allows me to see the sights, get up and walk around, and meet new people. We don't mind flying, but we prefer to see the countryside as we travel, and people seem much freer to talk if you're on a train or meet them on the road. On planes, everyone just seems to keep to themselves, unless you want them to do so. :)
