Life
Okay - for people who are looking at my bio and wondering why I am listed under Sts. P&P, All Saints and CAHS - here's the skinny. I went to All Saints for 5 years (jr&sr kindergarten, 1-3rd grade only-'71-'76/'77 but would have graduated with class of 1985), I went to CAHS for 9th and 10th grade and I am married to a graduate of St.s Peter & Paul (and had friends in all three). Hope that helps, because I know alot of people are wondering "who is this chick??). So...on with the rest of the bio. Married to the same man for almost 19 years (together for 21) - David Scarbriel (Sts.P&P/CHS 1981). No kids - just one step-daughter, Tiffanie, who is 24 and lives on New York. Went back to the Virgin Islands after graduation and stayed there, working for various retail businesses and then for Banco Popular (a bank) for 9 years. Moved to Virginia Beach in 2001, worked for the Hilton in Norfolk ever since and am now the General Manager of a Hampton Inn. Dave and I sold our home in the VI in 2005 and bought a house here in Virginia the same year. Have been working on this house ever since - lots of renovations and always lots of yard work to do. My sister Karen lives close by and we see them alot. My brother Frank lives in Washington state (outside of Seattle) but spends time in Wyoming with his son, Jacob, who is a junior in high schoo...Expand for more
l, and is part of the starting lineup for the varsity football team. My Dad is in Phoenix Arizona.
School
Biggest Crush??? Jaime "Chico" Alvarado and Albert Aguilar.
Teachers - I just loved and admired Coach Galindo so much! And then there was Mr. Mosher and who could ever forget Ms. Fulfer!
Would I do it all over again?? You bet! I wish I had gone to VBA earlier than '84. It was one of the best experiences I have ever had and shaped my life in ways I couldn't have imagined then.
Where to begin on the memories? There are way too many - Amanda Alvarado yelling in the dorm hallways (ya se va la basura!!), Sonia Martinez whistling across the yard to the boys dorm, sneaking into other rooms after lights out to eat limes and talk, Pilar and Laura making taquitos, Gonzalo, Gustavo, Pepe and Pancho and some other guys cooking fajitas and playing guitars under the stars and everyone laughing and singing and trying not to get caught holding hands (nobody wanted demerits!). Sneaking kisses in the library or the gym, trying to keep up with which girl was going to be calling me "cunada" this week, since Frank changed novias very quickly! Ay! The Valentines Ball, the Mexican Suppers, making friends with so many wonderful people that all had an impact on my life and how I view, see and react to events now, the good and the bad! My baptism!
