Ellen's Story
As most of you might already know, I attended Parkdale for most of my High School years and Bladensburg for 1/2 a year, (11th grade) due to busing.
I’m probably one of the few who really loved my High School years. I pretty much loved everything about school, as my home life wasn't always very happy.
You would have a hard time pigeon holing me or stereo typing me. I wasn't part of any group "block", "collegiate", "nerd", I was pretty much, just me. Although, I hated it at the time, I was usually considered, a "nice girl". I pretty much got along with everyone. I wasn't popular, just someone ordinary who really didn't rock the boat or get into any trouble.
After High School, I went on to attend the University of...Expand for more
Maryland, for approximately three years. I left there to pursue a short-lived career in broadcasting. I was a disc-jockey at a small local AM station, W-E-E-L in Fairfax, Virginia; where I also hosted a live radio broadcast from the Soundstage Discotheque. I did this for about three years. I then went on to the Computer and Human Resources fields.
I have two grown children; Christopher, 38 and a daughter, Katie, 35.
I am currently working as an Office Manager/Administrator for a Warehouse and Realty Company.
I reside in Staunton, Virginia, within the Shenandoah Valley after many years of ping-ponging across the U.S.
I'd love to hear from you and what you’re doing, when you get the chance...Ellen Buckles Quinlin
