Ellen's Story
Life
I was lucky enough to get a job at the Edmonton Journal when I was just 16 years old. My English teacher Mrs. Clooney, recommended me for the position of...Copy-chaser... It was a summer job that actually turned into a career...because, I was later trained to become a Junior Newspaper Reporter..Unfortunately I gave it up just a year after marrying in 1965.
We moved to Calgary immediately.. I lived there until 1989...I then moved to Victoria B.C. I have been twice married and twice widowed. I ...Expand for more
moved back to Calgary In 1997..... I have two grown children(A Son, and a Daughter) and four Grandchildren, three boys..one girl.. luckily they all live close by.. I have now officially retired.. I volunteer as a Mentor,and on the Crisis line... do a lot of gardening and cooking, and hang out with friends and family when I can...I am blessed to still be in good health and stay quite active......looking forward to finally doing some serious traveling.And just really enjoying life..It's all Good...
