Ellen's Story
Life
It's pretty daunting to sum up two decades (+) since high school! Here's a thumbnail version...
Professionally, I worked for 10 years at a 4 Star Wine Country hotel, primarily as the Human Resources manager, which was very fulfilling, I loved my work. Once my daughter Kyra was born, I wanted to spend more time with her, so I went part time as an HR manager at a local winery.
After 12 years, my first marriage ended, and while that time was difficult, things are now on an even keel. We are blessed with an intelligent, funny, energetic daughter, who made everything worthwhile.
I am now re-married to a wonderful man, Jon, and together we share our lives with 4 great kids. I am able to stay home and care for our family, quite a change from 25 years of working full time, in fact I'm still getting used to it! n time for my family. Our lives revolve around our business, and all the kid's activities. Each one is involved in various sports and extra-curriculars that keep us on the go. We've got two dogs, a grumpy dachshund (Max) who loves the family but barks at everyone else, and a cheerful cockapoo (Lexi) who loves everyone she meets. What a goofy pair they are!
My mom, Jessie, is healthy and enjoying her retirement in the same town. She volunteers to read to the elderly in a nursing home, babysits a wide variety of neighborhood kids, and is a huge Giants fan, watching every game she can. My sister Megan and her husband Ray live about 30 minutes away, have 3 kids in their teens and 20's, and keep busy with work and all the kid's activities.
It's been fun logging onto Classmates and seeing what some of you have been up to. I wish more people would post pictures and bios!
