Ellen's Story
Life
Well, we all muddle through, right? Still enjoying life, kids, grandkids, husband, dog and making art, though we now live in Eugene and not in the country. No more sheep, no more driving a half hour to an hour to do anything fun (or go to work). Joined the Eugene Storefront Art Project, and they keep me busy painting and showing; all to the good. Lost both parents within 18 months of each other, and that was a very tough ride, but our family is tight and loving, and we are recovering together. I hope you are all doing well, happy in your lives. We're getting a bit older now, but that's okay, too, right?

Ellen has been drawing and painting all her life, keeping her...Expand for more
self entertained during boring classes in school, and filling hours spent ducking chores and hiding from responsibility with random doodles. Art has always been her favorite method of escaping into her private dream world.
She has finally brought that passion to her adult life, making it official by entering the art program at the University of Oregon, and completing the requirements for a Bachelor of Arts in Fine Art.
As an emerging Oregon artist, Ellen is drawn to the natural world around her, blending her other childhood guilty pleasure, getting lost in the woods, with art. She creates watercolor and mixed media works of local plant life and landscapes, celebrating her spiritual connection with Nature and the Place she lives.
