Ellen's Story
Life: IT Project Manager at EnerNOC, Inc., a green-tech energy services provider. Current project is Oracle Utilities implementation and continued design & support of Salesforce.com.
Latest travels were to Costa Rica; have been to 37 countries and all but one state and all but 4 Canadian provinces.
Used to work in "Silicon Valley East"'s high tech software industry; spend a lot of time with and travelling to our subsidiaries in Europe and Asia/Pacific.
Since '75, BA ('79 French/History) and MBA ('85 MIS and Marketing) at UM-Ann Arbor. Met husband in '77 and married in '84; met playing volleyball and we still play. No kids by choice. Moved to Boston in '91. Managed a team of software developers based in Boston, Rotterdam, Stuttgart, and Oslo who were building internet applications for sales and marketing business ...Expand for more
functions. Studied Spanish, Italian, Russian, and Norwegian for kicks. Like gourmet food, the Red Sox, UM football (in the Boston UM Alumni club), jazz, going to the theater, movies, reading mysteries, herb gardening. Spent 5 years on board of directors for my Unitarian Universalist congregation.
Volunteer for Habitat for Humanity and Refugee Immigration Ministry, which assists political asylum seekers with settlement in the US.
Am liberal on social issues and a gay rights advocate. Husband is scientist at Mass General Hospital in movement disorders of the brain (Huntington's chorea, Parkinson's and Alzheimer's disease). Parents and siblings (all UM grads too) are all alive and doing well too.
