After graduating from CPHS in 1972, I attended LSU in Baton Rouge, where I completed my Baccalaureate of Science in Plant Chemistry in 1977. I entered into graduate school, at LSU, and after one semester, I left school to work for the federal government in the US State Department for the next 23 years. Washington, DC has been home since 1977 but I've lived in 4 foreign countries and 9 states over my career. After my career in foreign service, I went to work for a Native American Tribe in Durango, Colorado managing their wealth in venture capital markets. In 2008, I moved to Sitka, AK where I was President/CEO of an Alaska Native Corporation that had companies in federal contracting. In 2010, I was hired to be President/CEO of Goldbelt, Inc an Alaska Native Corporation in Juneau, AK. Goldbelt is active in federal contracting with $350,000,000 in annual revenue, 24 subsidiaries, 1700 employees worldwide and recognized to be the 14th largest company in Alaska in 2019.. In 2019, I retired and moved to Florida where I live with my wife Judi. I have 2 children, a daughter that lives with her husband and 3 children in New Orleans. She is a stay-at-home mom.
