Elsa's Story
Hi everybody- it has been a while. I live in Seattle now and am married with no kids, but two dogs and two cats.
I moved to VA in 1991, to Wytheville way up in the hills where most people don't have their natural teeth. While there I learned American Sign Language and started interpreting for a living.
In early 1998 I met my future husband, a Cambodian man named Darith who lived in Seattle, so I ended up moving out here. We got married in late 1999, and now have two cats, two dogs, and three fish. I spend the majority of my time volunteering to teach Cambodian people the Bible...Expand for more
, and the rest of my time is spent helping my husband remodel our house. I specialize in roofing and drywall, even though I hate to finish it.
My current challenge is to learn to read and write Cambodian. If you have ever seen it, you will know how hard that is. STINKING hard. There. I'll just tell you. But I am coming along well, and hope to be a full-fledged Asian soon. :-)
