Elvin's Story

I went straight into the US Army right out of highschool. After Basic and AIT, I came home and found the love of my life, Lillion Imogene Faulkinberry. We were married July 22, 1961, and still are. We had four children, Lisa, Jr., Carla and Peggy. Carla passed away in 2004 leaving 3 boys and one small girl.
We have eleven grandchildren and two great grandchildren on the way.
We have lived in Verden, Anadarko, Fox, Minco, Cement and Chickasha. I have done nearly every job imaginable, from pumping gas to making carpet, to oilfield wor...Expand for more

The oilfield work took up nearly 35 years of my life. Looked like for awhile I would make a career of it.
I retired at 62, but when my medicare kicked in I had to get a job to pay the premiums.
I am presently Office manager,Shop Foreman, Field Representative, Substitute truck pusher, and general educator to all involved at Star Well Services in Chickasha.
I am looking forward again to retirement again someday, but the problem with it is, I do nothing and it gets boring. Plus, when you do nothing all day, it is hard to tell when you get through.
