Emiel's Story
Life
Retired from USAFR and Federal Civil Service with DoD and State Department. Married twice and have three lovely daughters. Divorced twice as well but we remain friends and supportive. I moved to Anderson island in the south Puget Sound near Seattle/Tacoma. Great Island requiring a 20 minute ferry ride. Nice house in the forest with plenty of fishing, boating and of course yard and house work. Also spend time working on and riding my vintage motorcycles etc.
Update: Moved to Layton Utah near Salt Lake City in Feb 2011 to be near my youngest daughter and her family and get a lot more sunshine than Washington was able to provide-LOL. Moving from an isolated island to an apartment next to an Air Force base is a challenge to adjust to. Goodness. Friends told me Vicki Malone lives down h...Expand for more
ere just miles away but I have not bumped into her as yet! That would be nice. She was a friend and very good pal to my wife Annette Frey (with whom I remain close and friendly) Annnete and I have a daughter Marlo that lives and teaches school in Spokane. I miss them after living nearby for 8 years yet now enjoy a close relationship with my British daughter Nicola and her family!
I love my 4 grand daughters and one grandson to pieces.
I have very fond memories of the Lincoln days and the great folks in my class/school e.g Ken Brunnette, Jim Brogdon, Dave Opatik, Eileen Morris, Sharon Johnson and many more. I truly beleive those young folks were a very high caliber group and hope they have had as exciting and rewarding a life as iI have had. -----so far!
Best wishes to all ----Jim Laethem
