Emilie's Story
Life
After college I went to Tulsa,OK to teach and shared an apartment (actually upper flour of old house) with a couple of gals (one was Reba Jordan). We started attending a Young Adult Sunday School Class at Boston Ave Methodist Church in in Oct., 1961. One Sunday the class sponsor told us that a good looking bachelor was having "Fun Fest" at his house that night (a Sunday evening get together in church member's homes for purpose of singles getting to know each other and have fellowship). ooking bachelor'. And the rest is history. Tom and I married July 1962 and have lived in Tulsa, Minneapolis, Denver, Houston, Mandeville, La and now Sugar Land, TX.
College
Started to Oklahoma College for Women (OCW) in Chickasha, OK in 1957 and graduated with a BS in May 1961.
Was member of Be Si Ta Social Club, FTA, Honor Roll, Girls State Alumnae, Student Govt., &Wesley Foundation.
Worked at the Nash Library and had working scholarships for the on campus Kindergarten my Jr. and Sr. years.
Honors included: Whose Who in Colleges and Univ.2 years, Nash Award and Delta Kappa Gamma Scholarship.
