Emily's Story
College
I began at PSU and cheerlead there for a term, left and transferred to PCC and took classes there and at CCC to get my prereq's out of the way for Marylhurst Uni. where I got my BA in Interior Design in June 2006.
Life
I am working as an interior designer in Lake Oswego, and love it. Joey Boullet & I were married on June 9th, 2007 - it was amazing. We honeymooned on an Eastern Caribbean 8day cruise to San Juan, Puerto Rico; St. Thomas and Tortola. Soon after we welcomed Lily Lou, a Persian kitten, to our new family. We love her to death, and she's our "kid" for now. In July '09 we adopted a Goldendoodle puppy, Romeo, and he's kept us on our toes!
Workplace
I worked at a private child development center in West Linn as a teacher for 3yrs. I started off with the 5-12yrs age group, then taught kindergarten for a few months... left them to go work with infants for a few months and then for the last 2yrs being there I had my own class room of 12-18mo olds. mplete my classes during the day. When I graduated on June 17th, 2006 with my BA Interior Design I was immediately hired as a lead designer for a remodeling contractor in Lake Oswego. That place turned out to be a "bad thing". So I left there in Dec. 2006. In Jan. 2007 I was hired at a new upcoming design showroom and worked part time and also planned our wedding. I became a wedding planner for the summer (after our honeymoon of course). I was then in Lake Oswego at Atelier Design Group for 2yrs as a design assistant & manager. The company closed in March '09 and in Sept I began working temporarily at IRCO covering for Shana (Quarles) Cannon until March 2010.
Travel
After our honeymoon, we made a special trip to Las Vegas to see the Tim McGraw & Faith Hill concert... and visit some of Joey's family. In Feb. '08 we went on a week long Mexican Riviera cruise to Mazatlan, Cabo San Lucas and Puerto Vallarta with our bestest buds Katie & Jesse. We were planning a last cruise to the Western Caribbean in Feb. '09, but instead we purchased a home in August 2008. Now we're just working on remodeling that, and thinking about starting a family.
