Life
Hi everyone! I graduated Dec. 2001 from ECU with a degree in Design. I now work at NCSU in the Office of the University Architect as a Construction/Renovation Tech. Pretty name for a CADD TEch! I got married in Oct. 2002 and my new last name is Powell. No kids...yet. We do have two cats though! We just bought a new house and found out our neighbor is Jason Bouknight and his family. Small world! I'd love to hear from anybody!
School
After East Meck, I went to East Carolina University. I graduated with a BS in Industrial Design. Technically it's just Design, but since I'm a girl, too many people assume it's interior design. This just makes it...Expand for more
easier! LOL Still debating (with myself) about going to Grad school...
Workplace
Near the end of college at ECU I went to work for the Utilities company. I really enjoyed it and hoped I would be there for many years. But my then fiance got a job in Raleigh so we moved. I found a job teaching drafting and after a year of that, found out that just because you got your degree in it and know what you're doing, doesn't mean you can teach it! I got the heck out of there. I am currently working for the Facilities Planning and Design Dept. at NC State University. I love what I do and really like the people. But I'm ready to "retire" and start a family soon!
