Emily's Story
Life
My life in 4000 characters or less...
I graduated from high school and went to Purdue University in 1991. After a couple of years struggling to make ends meet (and failing) I joined the Army in 1994. I was a Spanish linguist and was blessed to spend six months in one of the most beautiful places on Earth--Monterey, CA. I spent the best time of my life (at this point) there. I met my future husband, Shane, there and established wonderful friendships.
I was stationed at the Medina RSOC in San Antonio, TX until I got out in 1998. I went back to school and received my Bachelor's degree in Social Work in 2002. I was widowed in August of 2002 when Shane died in an Air Force plane crash.

nt back to school in March 2003 and received my Master of Public Administration degree in May 2004. I lived in Northwest Florida for five years until I accepted a position with L-3 Communications in November of 2004. I worked for L-3 in the Proposal Development Center and then as a Test Engineer for computer systems installed on aircraft until August 2007.
I accepted a position with CSC as a Technical Writer and Editor in August 2007. I live and work in Fort Worth, TX and really like both my job and city. I am a volunteer for Chihuahua Rescue and Transport and am a foster "mom" for abused, abandoned, and neglected dogs. I have two dogs, one foster dog, no kids, a niece, and four nephews.
