Eric's Story
Workplace
2004 Marks the 20th year of EricÂs career as a dancer. He has performed internationally with over 50 companies, as a resident and a guest. In New York City, Miami, Los Angeles, Hawaii, Chicago, Bermuda, Houston, Salt Lake City, Boston, New Orleans, Kansas City, Indianapolis, and beyond, he has delighted ballet audiences with a wide variety of classical and contemporary works.
As a principal, Mr. Bourman has danced a great number of classical favorites, including The Nutcracker, Swan Lake, Giselle, Paquita, Copellia, Don Quixote and Le Corsair. Contemporary classics such as, Cinderella, Anna Carenina, Graduation Ball, Rosalinda, Sylvia, and The Three Musketeers, mark some of his personal favorites. He has received great joy in creating new works and dancing established pieces by, George Balanchine, Leonid Massine, Anthony Tudor, Freddie Franklin, Paul Taylor, John Butler, Robert North, Donald Byrd, Charles Molten, Soili Arvola, Courtney Kierl-Bourman, Laura Dean, Andre Prokovsky, Ronald Hind, and many ot...Expand for more

Eric is entering his 11th year as a dance educator. His teaching credits include, among others, the University of Missouri at Kansas City, Lyric Opera of Chicago, Houston Grand Opera, St. Louis Municipal Theater Association, Metropolitan Ballet Theatre, Ballet Tennessee, Kansas Regional Ballet, and the American Academy for Dance. Through educating professional and aspiring dancers, Mr. Bourman has expanded and strengthened his own artistry, and greatly enjoys sharing his gifts. He currently receives his training and coaching from, Mr. Patric Frantz, former Premier Danseur, Paris Opera Ballet, and Artistic Director, La Danserie.
Through the spring of 2004, Eric has been seen, premiering a new three act Samson et Delilah, as Samson, in Swan Lake as Sigfried, in Cornwall, U.K., in Paquita, as the French Officer, and in Giselle, as Albrecht. Later this season Mr. Bourman will pass his 350th performance of the Nutcracker.
Eric holds membership in the American Guild of Musical Artists and Actors Equity Association.
