Eric's Story
Life
Eric Christ is president of Patient Placement Systems with responsibility for all operations of the company. Eric's 17-year career includes general management, marketing, and product management positions with leading information technology companies.
Eric came to Patient Placement from McKesson Corporation, a Fortune 15 provider of healthcare software and services. At McKesson, Eric held several positions including vice president of marketing and product development, vice president of operations, and most recently, interim CIO for McKesson's subsidiary in the United Kingdom. In these positions, he provided executive leadership for product management, business development, market research, and marketing communications functions.
Before joining McKesson, Eric was the senior vice president for product delivery at 1stAg Corporation, an early-stage technology company. He led the Marketing, Product Management, Customer Support, Product Development and Operations departments of this agribusiness e-commerce company.
Eric spent eight years at Harbinger Corporation, a leading e-commerce software and services provider. His last position was as senior director of portal solutions. He led a team of project managers, application programmers, Web d...Expand for more
esigners, and graphic artists in developing solutions for Harbinger's B2B e-Commerce portal, harbinger.net. His group also focused on delivering Internet-based solutions to vertical market exchanges. Eric was also the Marketing Manager for the Internet Services Division of Harbinger responsible for corporate communications, market planning, competitive analysis and market research.
Prior to joining Harbinger, Eric was a product manager for Bell AtlanticÂs telephone calling card product line. Before that, he was the manager of online information services at Knowledge Resources in Washington, DC.
He has an MBA from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University, where he was a Woodruff Fellow and a member of the Beta Gamma Sigma business honor society. He also holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree with a double-major in marketing and international management from Georgetown University.
Eric is active in the health care, electronic commerce and Internet industries as an author and speaker, including presentations for the College of Healthcare Information Management Executives, the Data Interchange Standards Association, the Electronic Messaging Association, the Treasury Management Association, and the eBusiness Conference.
