Eric's Story
Workplace
I design, construct, and inspect challenge courses (high and low ropes courses). I cover the western half of the US mainly , but often find myself helping out the east coast folks. Half the month is spent with clients, thus on the road, in wilderness settings generally. I thoroughly enjoy the field work , but must put up with the lead and tail office time. The flexibility I find exists in setting my own schedule...Expand for more
(for the most part) allows for taking in the flora, fauna, and grandeur that is so special to the west coast. The clients, p.e. teachers, therapists, and camp directors, are always excited about the goals they've achieved using tools that I've helped them develop. This keeps a constant smile on my face, except for when I'm working in the sleet. The rain and snow I don't mind, just that cold sloppy madness. That's about it.
