Eric's Story
Life
I left Junction City in Jan 1981 for the US Navy. Went to recruit training in San Diego, CA. Stationed Aboard USS New Orleans, USS Okinawa 'til about 1986. Stationed at Camp Pendleton, CA. where I taught telecommunications to Fleet Hospital personnel 'til about 1990. Went to Diego Garcia and Desert Shield/Storm 'til March 1991. erved until 1994. Hawaii was next, where I worked for the Commander US Pacific Fleet. Here also, I married the love of my life on the beach in my back yard. From there, my bride and I went to the great Pacific Northwest and Bremerton, Washington. USNS Kiska was my last assignment where I served as the Officer in Charge and Assistant Officer in Charge until my retirement in February 2001 as a Chief Petty Officer. I currently work for Electronic Data Systems (EDS) as an Information Analyst.
