Eric's Story
Life
As I was beginning my senior year at Union High School, my family relocated from Tulsa, Oklahoma to Seneca, Kansas where I graduated from Nemaha Valley High School. Since that time, life has been a wonderful trip! I worked in broadcasting in Oklahoma, California, Arkansas, and Texas. I was a youth pastor for several years. I married a friend I had know since 2nd grade at Cooper Elementary School. Along the way I have managed to earn some degrees in Communications, Ministry, and Missiology. Gaye and I have two amazing children (1993, 1996).
From 1998 through 2006 I was in the Atlanta area with the corporate office of the North American Mission Board helping to start new churches. I am now the president of Tom Cox World Ministries based in Northwest Arkansas. We deploy medical, dental, educational, sports, business, and arts mission teams around the world; and have ongoing work in India, Kenya, Uganda, Peru, Vietnam, Cuba, and other undisclosed countries in the world. I still do media -- it is a big part of my life. In recent years, I have produced several national TV spots, a documantary that aired on ABC and CBS, and written a good bit. I have also authored a couple of books. Gaye is a professional singer & recording artist -- most of you know that. She will release a new CD in '09. I host a national radio show on Sirius 161, "Answer His Call" It is really easy to find either of us on a search engine. Type in "Gaye Ramsey" to find Gaye; type in "Eric Ramsey church" to find me.
I am a frequent speaker in churches, seminaries, mission conferences, and universities. Gaye and I travel more than 200 days a year. Chances are we will be in your area -- let us know where you are, we would love to reconnect with some old friends.
LIFE IS GREAT! I love my God, my family, and my work! But, my life would be totally meaningless were it not for being adopted into the family of God through faith in Jesus Christ. Gaye and I would love to hear from you.
