Eric's Story
Life
I Married Sara (Coppernoll) on Sept 14, 1996. We have a beautiful daughter (Elizabeth); she was born July 18, 2002. We've lived in Jackson, MI since 1996.
College
After my transfer from active duty to the Air National Guard in 1992, I took my GI Bill and enrolled in Henry Ford Community College (HFCC). I graduated in 1995 with an AS Degree in Computer Information Systems.
Workplace
While enrolled at HFCC, I worked at Star Theater in Taylor. After graduating from HFCC, I worked at Jacobson Stores as a computer operator from 1995 to 2000. From 2000 to present, I've worked as an air technician in the MI Air National Guard.

I served in the US Air Force from 1989-1992. After serving over three years on active duty, I decided to joint the MI Air National Guard. I've served in the Guard since Sept 1992. I was a traditional guardsman (part-time) until Nov 2000 when I was hired an air technician (full-time). I'm currently stationed at Battle Creek ANGB (WK Kellogg Airport), supporting the A-10C Warthog. I hold the rank senior master sergeant (E-8) and serve as the munitions element chief (IYAAYAS). I have traveled all over the US, my overseas deployments have taken me to S. Korea (90-91), Singapore (96), Turkey (98 & 03), Saudi Arabia (01), and
Iraq (04 & 07).
