Eric's Story
After graduation, I spent a few years working at assorted jobs and playing drums in local bands. I married in 1980 and in 1981, was diagnosed with Stage 3 Hodgkins Disease. I spent the better part of the next year fighting and beating that. I moved to Lancaster Co. in 1982 and milled around in various jobs until 1986, when I decided to enroll in Electronic Institutes for a degree in Electronics. I graduated in 1988 and joined Engle Business Equip. in Elizabethtown PA servicing computers, printers and networks. software and network support. I also divorced my 1st wife and began a new chapter as a divorcee. I married Kathy in 2001 and at that time became a proud step father of Rachael and Kaitlyn. In 2003 Kathy and I began a part time career at Milton Hershey School as relief Houseparents. In 2004, we were hired fulltime and began our tenure at Student Home Liberty in 2005. We retired from house parenting in 2025. All the while, I have continued playing drums locally with numerous bands opening for many big name national acts. Currently, I play occasionally with The Resistors, a 60s Classics Tribute band.
