Eric's Story

Life My Spouse I met Catherine in the Cornell Marching Band. My Kids Brian is our ten-year-old boy. For some reason, he likes NASCAR (Jimmie Johnson is his driver), the New York Giants, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Jenna is eight and plays soccer. Laura is six and enjoys kindergarten. My Job I design tractor parts. What's up? We built a new house two years ago. It is 100 feet from the house my parents lived in when I was born. I helped tear that house down 30 years ago, now I live on the place. School Earned B.S. for Mechanical and Ag & Bio Engineering from Cornell. Earned my MBA by attending night classes at the University of Iowa. Workplace Worked for New Holland immediately after college. They were the only farm equipment company interested in me. us would have to change jobs. As it turned out, we both changed jobs. After Work Hours I do not have much spare time. I organize many community events (I am not a community organizer) like Brew-B-Q, a festival where we host barbeque venders, live music, and a beer tasting all to raise money for local charities. Also, I help with the Uncorked! wine tasting which also raises money for local charities. I am a past president of the Lions Club. Currently, I am a church Elder, allowing me to serve the community by packing backpacks with food for free and reduced students in the local schools. I am chair of the Advisory Board of a local museum, bringing the largest tractor to Independence, Iowa. Finally, I organize a farm toy show. All that and weekends attending soccer, football, and baseball games for the kids.
