Eric's Story
Life
LetÂs see, almost 20 years and 4 career changes, 1 wife (almost 11 years now), no kids, 4 cats, a fish, a lizard, and soon a small herd of cattle.
After graduation, (and the band trip to Hawaii!), while still working at First Bank, I went right to RCC where I got my Associates in Computer Science. It I only took me 3 years and one major change. Then it of to the U of M for 1 1/2 years and 3 major changes. I quit school and moved to Buffalo NY where I got a job with a reality company called Empire, doing data entry. After a whole 22 months in Buffalo, It was time to move again.
I managed a transfer/promotion with the company and moved my roommate (Michele) and our two ferrets to Denver. About 2 years in Denver, my roommate became my wife. There years after we moved, I was "let go" for not adequately holding down 2 1/2 full time positions. Oh, well, after 6 months and brief stints in commercial painting and Government contractor, I landed in the medical consulting field and back in data entry.

ositions in the company and we have changed names and owners five times. The company is bought by GE. Well, in order to survive in GE, especially in my field, IT (I am now working as a systems administrator, database administrator, database designer, and applications programmer), I need a Bachelors degree. So itÂs back to school, this time University of Phoenix.
I decide to look at a business degree and discover that I am just in time to start with the first eBusiness degree program. It was also at this time in my life that I became an ordained minister with the ULC. Shortly after graduation from UoP, I performed my fifth ceremony giving me four weddings and a funeral.
Two years ago, I started a small business with one of my classmates from UoP. Then in October of 2003, I performed my second funeral, this time for my last grandmother. With her passing, I became the Âmaster of a small farm. In 2004, the stress of trying to manage the farm and work full time became to much and in August, I became officially self-employed.
