Life After PHS I went to Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck for Business and realized my entrepreneurial spirit wanted to have my own business. I made up science prerequisites at Bergen Community and Rutgers Newark while working at Farview Drugs so I could attend Rutgers Pharmacy School. I attended Rutgers University Pharmacy School in Piscataway,NJ hoping to buy a drugstore in Bergen county and stay local. The pharmacy business changed with managed care and I landed an entry level position at Lederle Labs in Pearl River and got in the pharmaceutical industry. I've worked for a few companies & after many years in business I returned to graduate school and completed degrees in PharmD & MBA-Marketing. In June 2006 after many years in pharma my company decided to disband R&D and reorganize Medical Affairs. I took the retirement and severance package and took the summer of 2006 off to hang at the beach and ride my motorcycle. Didnt want to move back to NJ for a job in pharma home office so I worked part time as a pharmacist at a local hospital ( St. Lukes - Allentown) and for a healthcare agency. I was semi-retired but got bored with all the free time alone since most of my friends still work FT plus medical coverage is expensive.
