Erin's Story
Life
I grew up in Bristol, CT and went all the way through school there. After I graduated from college in 1997, I started working at Filene's. About a year later, I got a job in insurance and I worked in insurance until early 2009. I got married in October 2001. My husband and I bought a house in Enfield in September 2003 and our daughter Linnaea was born 9 months later in June 2004. Our second daughter, Alexa, was born in December 2007. In February 2009 we packed up everything anf moved to Florida. We live outside Orlando. I'm now a SAHM and my family and I are loving our new life! School
I went to school in Bristol, CT. I started at John J. Jennings Elementary School, then I went to Northeast Middle School. I went to high school at Bristol Eastern and I graduated in 1992.
College
I went to UConn. I spent my first year at the West Hartford branch and moved to Storrs my sophomore y...Expand for more
ear. I loved college and found plenty of time to party. I made some great friends who i wish I was better about keeping in touch with. I graduated in 1997 with a BA in journalism.
Workplace
After I graduated from college in May 1997, I started working at Filene's Department Store. I was an assistant manager. A year later, in June 1998, I got a job as a claims assistant for a long term care insurance TPA called Duncanson & Holt. After a year as a claims assistant, I became a claims analyst in July 1999. I left Duncanson & Holt in June 2000 and went to Cigna where I worked as an Underwriting Analyst. I was in that position for about 2 years. In July 2002, I became a Managing Benefit Consultant at Intergrated Disability Resources, Inc and I worked there until October 2005. After I as laid off from IDR, I got a job at MetLife Disability as a Senior Disability Claim Manager. I worked there from December 2005 until I moved to Florida in early 2009.
