Erin's Story

Life I currently live in Rochester (upstate) New York and have lived here for the past 7 years. I married my husband Eric in September 2002 in a beach front ceremony in Falmouth. We do not have any kids yet, but we have 2 kittys Boo Boo and jeter (yes, named after Derek Jeter. My husband is a HUGE yankees fan, so it gets tricky at times...go red sox!). we travel all over and recently went to paris for our 5 year wedding anniversary, which was absolutley fantastic! we spend our time traveling, hanging out with friends and family, playing tennis, drinking wine, cardio kickboxing (which i am obsessed with) watching movies, etc, etc... School i loved my 4 years at EBHS, but there were times i wished it wasn't so small (gossip, rumors). however, up here, there are a million different high schools, so it is kind of special growing up in a small town where there is only one school and your teachers taught your older brothers and sisters and your gym teacher was the football coach (coach st george!). i loved my 4 years 0f field hockey and that one unfortunate year of playing tennis (although i do play all the time now!). all the friends and especially all the women i grew ...Expand for more
up with who are like my sisters. i would not go back to HS (college was definitely better, but just in a different way). i just look back on things that seemed so important and heart breaking at the time, but you realize you need to experience these things and that your heart mends and you move on. high school is a bitter sweet experience. College I attended Syracuse University 1996-2000 and graduated with a BS in Coordinated Dietetics (meaning I did my nutrition internship within my undergrad at Strong Memorial Hospital). Definitely different than EBHS!! It was a HUGE and beautiful campus, amazing and intense professors, wonderful and diverse students. Parties, college athletics (Donovan McNabb was our quarterback), all nighters, crazy roommates, sketchy apartments, "split day", the Dome...absolutely unforgettable. i loved every second of it. Workplace I am a registered dietitian and lactation consultant. i work with low income pregnant women and their babies. it is a heart wrenching, challenging and rewarding job all at the same time. i am also a consulting dietitan for Brockport College where i counsel students on eating disorders, body image, and weight loss.
