Erin's Story
Life
After highschool I went on to do lots and lots of university. In fact, I'm still there, working on my PhD in environmental studies at Wilfrid Laurier University. I also teach business law at Conestoga College. I've gotten into acting in my spare time (with the Kitchener Waterloo Little Theatre) and also cooking and lots of odd crafts. I currently live with my fiance and 2 cats.
Workplace
I've done a ton of different jobs since leaving highschool. I started out with lots of co-op positions thanks to the Unviersity of Waterloo. They were mostly in business and computers (and 2 terms with a trustee in bankruptcy). I then moved on...Expand for more
to law school and I articled with Gowling Lafleur Henderson in Kitchener. I realised early in that career that I wanted to go back to school so I applied to my masters in environmental studies. I did one year full time and then finished my thesis while working for an environmental magazine run out of the school called Alternatives Journal. Now that the masters is done I'm back to full-time school at Laurier, hoping to finish quickly so that I can get a professorship somewhere. I am keeping up my legal qualifications by teaching continuing education courses at Conestoga College in business law and have met some really great students so far.
