Erin's Story
I have now lived in Fairhope, AL for nearly four years. I have been married for nine years to Rob. We have four children--three boys and a girl--ages 8, 6, 4 and 2.
Had a great time helping Anjanetta (Anjie) and Felicia plan the ten year high school reunion. Had a great time at the reunion, too. Hope to see more at our next reunion --20th or 25th?
(To those of you who don't know...the last graduating class of Shaw graduated the other day...all ten of them. Shaw is going to be shut down after 41 years of graduates.)
After high school, I went to Mobile College (which became University of Mobile after my sophomore year) on cheerleading and academic scholarships. I cheered for basketball for three years there. I served on the Campus Activites Board and was a Student Services Representative. I had a work-study job in the Office of Public Relations for three years which gave me a lot of opportunites for hands-on experience with the media and people of importance in the community and to the University of Mobile. College was a great learning experience for me in many aspects.

ating, the Office of Public Relations created a position for me and hired me as the Assistant Director of Public Relations. I stayed there five years (until three months after the birth of my first child.) I met my husband at church in the Singles Department of Dauphin Way Baptist Church. We married after two years of courtship. My husband, who had been a stockbroker, had bought a flower shop in Mobile and we sold it last summer after owning it for nine years. He has been an insurance adjuster since Hurricane Katrina.
Since being married, I have been busy with pregnancies, babies, moving twice, teaching a multitude of children's activities at church, volunteering at my children's school, serving on the UM Alumni Board and in other serivce organizations, etc.
My two boys in school have a great school. My oldest had the state's best teacher last year when she was named the 2007 Alabama Elementary School Teacher of the Year. Their P.E. teacher was the 2007 National P.E. Teacher of the Year.
If you want to keep in touch with me, please send me a note. I'd love to hear from everyone.
