Life Well first off, this is gonna be very unique, largely because i have gone to school in 2 provinces. I went to school in Medicine Hat, AB until grade 8, and i went to high school and college in Ontario, or generally Kenora, ON. So i guess this is basically for those who remember me or know who i am from Alberta, and possibly for those who i haven't seen since high school. I only say this cause Kenora is so small that it is not hard to keep in touch, it is possible, but i travel so much that i do the best i can to visit. I have a dog, his name is Ma'iingan (that is ojibwe for wolf), and my life has totally changed from days of going to school. I have lived first hand what it means getting an education is key, being from a low income family and poor, in fact my first home on my own was a shack with no working door or heat. I went straight to college after high school, contiuing the starving student life, but all that sacrifice has paid off. I have a very good paying job, and I have relished the benefits of being able to afford to eat every meal, go places, see many great things, and buy what i need. I do what i love to do and what i have a passion for and that is working with children and youth. Since moving to my community, i have been involved with programs and services affecting youth, and so when i went to college i wanted to do something that related to that, i ended up taking child welfare program, but that still got me involved in what i wanted to enhance on. my job is fun, and it is great to see the smiles on children's faces, it is more important to see parents interacting with their children. Unfortunately, when it comes to child welfare agencies, especially aboriginal ones, there too much politics that gets involved. and it makes the job stressful. but, i guess thats why i travel so much to get away to rela...Expand for more
